What moves the price
- Lot size, the biggest one. A corner lot takes longer than a townhouse strip.
- How much trimming there is: fences, trees, beds, play sets.
- Backyard access. Narrow side yards and gates change what equipment fits.
- Slopes and ditches.
- How often. Weekly works out better per visit than every second week.
Comparing quotes
Ask every company the same thing: what exactly is in a cut? A $30 quote that's mowing only ends up costing more than a $40 cut once the trimming and edging are added, or skipped. Ask who shows up, whether it's the same day each week, and what happens when it rains.
How billing works
No prepaying for the season and no contract. You get one invoice by email at the end of each month for that month's visits. Pay by e-transfer, cash or cheque. If we skip a cut because the lawn didn't need it, it isn't on the invoice.

How much does lawn care cost in Guelph?
Weekly mowing in Guelph usually runs $40 to $70 a visit depending on lot size, trimming and backyard access. Ours starts at $40 with trimming, edging and blowoff included. Cleanups, aeration and fertilizer are priced once we've seen the property.
Why is weekly cheaper per cut than every second week?
Longer grass takes longer to cut and clean up, and it's harder on the lawn. Weekly visits are quicker and the lawn looks better.
Do you charge for the first cut of the year?
Same rate, unless the lawn has gotten very long before we start. If it has, we tell you before we cut, not after.
How do I pay?
One invoice by email at the end of the month for that month's visits. E-transfer, cash or cheque.
